Description
13" (33 cm.) Solid domed bisque head with flanged neck, tinted brown hair with forelock detail, having two faces which can be alternately revealed by twisting the head; one face with painted blue eyes enhanced by glazed decoration, black upper eyeliner, tinted brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth in pouting expression; the other face with blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, brush-stroked brows, open mouth, two beaded upper teeth, tongue; and with muslin body and composition hands, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1918. Value Points: rare two-faced model with wonderful expressions and fine quality of bisque.
