Description
11" (28 cm.) Each has carved wooden head with deeply-sculpted and painted facial features and hair, wooden hands and feet, cloth body, with original costume by the artist. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: both created by Chicago artist, Avis Lee, 1950, from the mid-century collection of Emily Kasch where they have been preserved until this time. Value Points: included are the "Concord Minute Man" with rifle and helmet, and with original signed description tag by Avis Lee, 1942; and "Soldier of 1812" in typical uniform of a private, with rifle.
