17" (43 cm.) h. x 11"w. x 5"d. Of fine wood with mahogany veneers and maple pencil inlay striping and unusual inlay design of a seashell, the upright secretaire with chamfered sides has cast brass keyhole (key lacking) and drawer pull, with single drawer and double cabinet doors below. The desk front opens to reveal a fitted interior with green felt writing surface. Excellent condition, one small chip to veneer at base of left foot. French, circa 1840.
