Solid domed bisque head with flat-cut neck socket, rounded facial modeling, large glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and feathered brows, rose eye shadow, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth, outlined and shaded lips, two rows of tiny teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig with original paper label "3",carton torso with mechanical clockwork, composition arms and legs. When keywound, doll turns head from side to side, waves arms and legs and cries "mama". Condition: generally excellent, mechanism functions well. Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1885.
