9" (23 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta sheep with sculpted curly wool coat, udder, painted nose and mouth and outlined enamel eyes is posed standing, her head leaning to the ground as though grazing. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, attributed to Francesco Gallo.
