20" (51 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, narrow blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, arched feathered brows, aquiline nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth with upturned lip corners, accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with gusset-jointing, bisque arms to above the elbows with well-sculpted fingers. Condition: generally excellent, three fingers restored, poupee body is in very fine condition and of the appropriate era, style and size albeit not original, Marks: I (head) Depose (forehead). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his deposed facial model, circa 1872. Value Points: exqusite poupee with elegant and refined facial shape, finest painting, wearing loveliest antique embroidered lace gown, ruffled lace cap, undergarments, kidskin shoes.
