18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, single stroke brows, heavy eyelids with dark eyeliner, strong nose, closed mouth with center accent line, auburn mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed lady body with shapely bosom and waist, antique undergarments. Condition: generally excellent, few wig pulls at back of head. Marks: C made in Germany 7 176 (head) Germany (torso). Comments: Kestner, the doll was designed from original illustrations of society ladies by American artist, Charles Dana Gibson, circa 1910. Value Points: rare socket head variation of Gibson Girl, with original wig, lady body and body finish.
