Solid domed bisque head, amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose-blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, pale outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde lambswool wig, composition body with jointing at shoulders and hips, shapely legs, painted lower legs and one-strap shoes, wearing antique French style dress, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent, repainting on left stocking and shoe. Marks: 4. Comments: Sonneberg, circa 1885, the doll was designed to capture the market of the popular French bebe. Value Points: beautiful doll in the look-alike French manner has finest bisque and painting, rare original body, original French-like dress.
