Pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, very deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with heart-shaped upper lip, outlined shaded lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, plump kid bebe body with gusset-jointing, bisque forearms, lovely bronze-brown silk dress with Alencon lace, undergarments, coronet of wax orange blossoms, stockings, ivory satin shoes marked B.V. Condition: generally excellent, right thumb is restored. Marks: A. 6 T. (head and shoulders). Comments: Andre Thuillier, circa 1880, early period kid body bebe, the doll was presented by the luxury Parisan doll shop of Brasseur-Vidalier as indicated by the signed shoes. Value Points: most desirable early period bebe by the prestige firm with sturdy original body, finest bisque and painting of the captivating expression.
