8 1/2" (22 cm.) Bisque socket head, tiny blue glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, tinted brows, open mouth with outlined lips, two porcelain lower teeth, dimpled plump cheeks, blonde mohair wig, composition bent limb baby body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1323/20 Germany. Comments: Bonnie Babe designed by American artist Georgene Averill and made in Germany under commission by George Borgfeldt, circa 1923. Value Points: rare socket head version of the highly characterized model with well-sculpted dimples and fine quality of bisque.
