Description
20" (51 cm.) Poured wax shoulderhead with rosy-toned complexion, tiny blue glass inset eyes, accented nostrils, closed mouth with lightly-tinted lips, separately-inserted blonde mohair wig, softly-stuffed muslin body with stitch-jointing, poured wax lower arms and legs, bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: English, circa 1880, in the Pierotti manner. Value Points: all original doll with beautifully-preserved body and hair, is wearing multi-layered antique baby gown and undergarments, and hooded cape with white mohair trim; the doll is resting in antique walnut sleigh bed which is included.
