Description
36" (91 cm.) x 30" framed. Delicate pastel depicts a seated back view of nude woman with flowing blonde hair, posed on cushions as she admires her boudoir doll seated alongside. Signed Robert Duflos on lower left side, and in original frame with bronze plate "R. Duclos". Excellent condition. French, early 1900s, the artist Robert Louis Raymond Duflos (born 1898), member of the Salon des Artistes Francais and the Societe de Artistes Independants was most noted for his nude studies in pastel; this is the only known example which incorporated the theme of a doll.
