13" (33 cm.) Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Sonneberg, circa 1888, the model closely resembles the French bebes of the era whose market it attempted to capture. Value Points: especially beautiful face with delicate blushing on cheeks, chin and eye lids, softly-shaped lips and nostrils.
