16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head with very full cheeks, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent, body is not original but is of the same era and appropriately-sized, original body finish. Marks: A 7 T (head) J. Steiner (and caduceus stamp on body). Comments: Andre Thuillier, with body by Jules Steiner, circa 1885. Value Points: lovely A.T. bebe with gentle expression, well-painted features, and wearing lovely antique brown velvet costume with woolen lace trim, undergarments, leather boots impressed with full figure of doll, and brown plush bonnet.
