15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,brilliant cobalt blue enamel inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with accented lips,ears pierced into head,kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips,knees and elbows,stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: attributed to Barrois,circa 1860. Value Points: rarity factors on the early model include cobalt blue eyes,swivel neck,and wearing beautiful aqua/cream silk costume with silk fringe,undergarments,blue silk bonnet,leather shoes,and carved bone fan with hand-painted flowers.
