9" (23 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, open mouth with pale outlined lips, two square cut upper teeth and one lower, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed bisque arms, modeled left elbow, curled fingers, peg-jointed bisque legs with very muscular modeling of legs, painted white ribbed stockings and black single strap shoes with little bows, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, few tiny typical flakes at stringing holes. Marks: 14. Comments: Kestner, circa 1880. Value Points: very rare and beautiful all-bisque doll with superb painting and expression, well-modeled body, grand size.
