5 1/2" (14 cm.) Each is one-piece porcelain figure of bald-headed man with highly-characterized expression, painted features, designed for use as cigarette holder with shaped open mouth for holding cigarette and holes in ears for escaping of smoke. At the base of each is a song title "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow", "Sweet Adeline", "Down by the Old Mill Stream", and "By the Light of the Silvery Moon". Condition: generally excellent. Comments: in the manner of Shafer & Vater, Germany, circa 1925. Value Points: each member of the Quartet has a differently modeled face.
