Description
21" (53 cm.) l. of bed with drawers closed. Of fine mahogany wood, the sleigh bed with bombe curved head and foot board is enhanced with light wood pencil-stripe inlay and an elaborate gilt decoration at the side, fitted with gold silk tufted bedding and pillows. Hidden below the head and foot boards are two drawers, which, when opened reveal a wonderful assortment of antique sewing tools, threads, buttons and other accessories. Excellent condition. French, mid-1800s.
