9" (23 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blonde sculpted hair softly waved from her face into formed ringlet curls at the back and held by a magenta hair band and bow at her crown, unusual painted large blue eyes with black eyeliner and painted all-around lashes, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, original muslin body with bisque arms to above the elbows, bisque lower legs with painted grey ankle boots, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, one ankle neatly reglued. Comments: Germany, attributed to Simon and Halbig, circa 1875. Value Points: very rare model with exquisite painting of facial details, rare coiffure, original rare body.
