19" (48 cm.) All cloth doll with firmly pressed and oil painted facial features, rosy complexion, blonde short curly hair with impasto style painting, blue yes, black painted upper eye liner and curly lashes, accented nostrils, closed mouth, weighted body with oil painted finish to simulate actual weight of baby, nicely costumed in antique calico dress, collar, apron, undergarments, stockings, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Chase Hospital Doll Trademark Pawtucket R.I. (and Dutch girl logo on body). Comments: Martha Chase, circa 1910. Value Points: pristine condition of the gentle-faced child, preserved in her original box labeled "Chase Stockinet Doll".
