All cloth stockinette doll with mask pressed and oil-painted facial features and hair, thick impasto-style curly hair, painted brown upper glancing eyes with white eye dots, black and brown upper eye liner, thick curly black lashes, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, stitch-jointed body, oil-painted hands with defined thumbs, nicely costumed in antique calico dress, pinafore, undergarments, stockings, leather slippers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Martha Chase, circa 1900. Value Points: pretty brown-eyed American cloth doll with fine original finish.
