Description
18" (46 cm.) Each has bisque socket head, painted blue eyes with heavy eyelids, dark upper eyeliner, one-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with glazed highlights on lips enhancing their pouty expression, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, in matching Tyrolean style costumes. Condition: generally excellent, few tiny typical wig pulls. Marks: K*R 101 46 (each doll). Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, from their art character series, 1909, the dolls were marketed as "Peter" and "Marie". Value Points: very fine sculpting of facial features, fine gleaming complexion on the early pair, with original wigs.
