Solid domed bisque socket head, small blue glass inset eyes, long painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette hand-tied human hair wig, distinctive composition body with jointing at shoulders and attached ball-joints at hips, painted coral stockings with red rims, black shoes, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1. Comments: Sonneberg, mystery maker, circa 1885, the doll closely resembles early French bebes whose market it sought to capture. Value Points: beautiful little closed mouth doll with brilliant blue eyes, distinctive body.
