Description
The three-piece ensemble, of textured white cotton with rose pattern, comprising a high waist jacket with high ruffled collar, fitted yoke and gathered lower jacket, modified pagoda sleeves, pearl buttons and handmade button holes. Along with a full-length flat-front skirt with double ruffles at the hem, below an overlay skirt with elaborately constructed bustle at the back. The ensemble is accented with rose cotton edging along each ruffled edge and at the neckline and sleeve edges. To fit 14" doll. 3" shoulders. 6 1/2" waist. 11" overall length. Circa 1865.
