17" (43 cm.) Solid domed bisque head with flat-cut neck socket, blue glass eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, rose-blushed eyeshadow, shaded nostrils, open mouth with outlined lips, two tiny rows of porcelain teeth, carton torso with mechanism, composition arms and legs; when wound, the doll is designed to kick arms and legs in baby like manner. Condition: bisque and costumes excellent, mechanism needs adjustment. Comments: Bebe Gigoteur, Jules Steiner, circa 1875. Value Points: included with the bebe is original trunk and a large assortment of antique costume elements of the era.
