18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted long lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: D (incised) Depose Tete Jumeau 7 (red stamp) Bebe Jumeau (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1885. Value Points: very beautiful creamy bisque with artistic painting of lashes and brows, original wig, body, body finish, original Jumeau earrings, and wearing fine antique silk dress with quilted skirt panels and yoke, and with leather shoes by Alart with brown silk rosettes impressed with full figure of a doll.
