14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head with plump facial modeling, blue glass inset eyes with rich spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve-blushed eyeshadow, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with pale outlined lips, blonde mohair wig, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists and flat-cut derriere, wearing pretty antique school dress, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bte SGDG 0. (head) Sch (in shield on base of torso). Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1882. Value Points: very beautiful expression with entrancing eyes, delicate complexion, original body and body finish.
