18" (46 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead of adult lady with oval face and slender elongated throat, black sculpted hair waved from face and captured in a high crown arrangement above seven horizontal rolls of curls, with scalloped curls and feathering at the forehead and a blue hair band, blue glass inset eyes, red upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, fully-sculpted pierced ears, accented nostrils, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body with kid arms, well costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1870, an old note attached to the gown reads "brought to America in 1872...from Sweden". Value Points: rarity factors include rare coiffure, blue glass eyes, pierced ears.
