11" (28 cm.) Posed upon a tinplate platform with two large spoked wheels at the front,and one small at the back,is a bisque head doll with grey glass enamel inset eyes,painted features,closed mouth,white mohair wig over cork pate,wire upper arms and legs,bisque lower arms,carton feet with leather shoes,wearing original silk costume,carrying basket of flowers,with shepherdess crook in her right hand,and two little lambs at the front. When wound,the platform moves forward and in circles and the little girl waves her arm and turns her head. Generally excellent. Attributed to Vichy,Paris,circa 1860.
