12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head with very full cheeks, brown glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, mauve-blushed eye shadow, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined pale lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: M 3 B. Comments: Mothereau, circa 1882. Value Points: very dear petite size with dramatic large brown eyes and beautifully painted complexion and features, lovely aqua silk couturier dress is likely original, with antique lace and ribbon cap, undergarments, aqua knit stockings and aqua satin shoes incised "3".
