18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, plump facial features, blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eye sockets, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips and hint of smile, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid gusset-jointed body with stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 4 (head and shoulders) Aux Enfants Sages, Guiton Succ. (paper label). Comments: circa 1870, the doll was commissioned for the exclusive Parisian doll store Aux Enfants Sage. Value Points: beautiful and expressive features on the boutique labeled lady, wearing lovely antique gown, bonnet, undergarments, stockings, leather boots.
