18" (46 cm.) All muslin cloth doll with flat-dimensional face, painted grey curly hair around the face, painted facial features with delicate shading of brown eyes, outlined nose, well-defined lips, side and back of head with stitched-on cap having lace ruffle around the face, stitch-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, mitten hands with defined thumbs, wearing original red and white cotton dress and white pinafore, undergarments, stockings, and shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: circa 1930, American, in the genre of the dolls created by the ladies of the First Presbyterian Church of Bucyrus, Ohio as fund-raising charity dolls. Value Points: wonderfully-preserved example with artistically-painted face.
