Description
16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head, small amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brush-stroked brows, mauve blushed eye-shadow, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined and shaded lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent, very faint tiny line at center front crown rim. Marks: Depose E. 7 J (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1884. Value Points: lovely doe-eyed gentle expression, fine creamy bisque, original body and body finish, wearing lovely antique dress, undergarments, shoes, stockings, bonnet and original Jumeau turquoise necklace and earrings.
