18" (46 cm.) All-composition with socket head, painted blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, short fringed lashes, accented nostrils, closed mouth, blonde human hair in short boyish manner, jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Effanbee Anne Shirley. Comments: Circa 1935, from original designs by Dewees Cochran for Effanbee. Value Points: the doll is wearing special commissioned costume of priest with black robe, pants, hat, and embroidered lace wrap, and with original shoes and socks.
