Bisque shoulder head with very plump rounded face,painted downcast blue eyes in well-defined eye sockets and with shaded coloring enhanced by decorative glaze at the lower edge,dreamily-modeled eyelids with black eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented eye corners and nostrils,closed mouth with outlined lips,un-pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,gutta-percha body with dowel-jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,bisque hands. Condition: generally excellent,body repainted. Marks: Huret (stamp on front torso). Comments: Adelaide Huret,circa 1858,with her original deposed body style and material. Value Points: a most beautiful example of the landmark doll,wearing fine antique gown that is likely original,undergarments,woven bonnet,leather ankle boots marked C.C.,owns an original trunk with her name "Aimee" in decoupage papers,and owning a bevy of costumes and accessories: four additional gowns,various undergarments,sac du voyage,Psyche mirror,bonnet,fan,two pairs of gloves,leather case with necessaire and enamel image of Arc de Triomphe,chatelaine,other jewelry,porte-bouquet,and more.
