Description
10" (25 cm.) A firmly shaped tan suede top hat with grosgrain band hides a surprise: a little black fur-covered puppy with glass eyes and carved nose. When wound, music plays and the puppy, who is hiding, slowly raises up and peeks around, then opens and closes his mouth as though barking or begging for a doggy treat. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Roullet et Decamps, circa 1900. Value Points: well-preserved and rare to find automaton with amusing action.
