11" (28 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead of lady with head turned to the side, modeled bosom, sculpted brown hair with tendrils of curls framing her face, tied with a red hair band and forming into a coiled chignon at the back of head, tiny enamel inset eyes, closed lips of smiling mouth, tow-wrapped posable body, carved wooden arms and legs, painted white stockings and blue slippers, wearing fine original costume with lovely embroidered apron and coral necklace with key-holder tip. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, late 1700s, rare hair band and amply-modeled bosom.
