Description
10" (25 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead, blue glass inset eyes, row of teeth, open mouth, painted features, blonde mohair wig, wire upper arms, carved wooden lower arms and legs, spiral-wire upper legs, painted stockings and shoes, original rose silk costume. Condition: doll excellent, costume is original albeit very frail. Marks: 4600 S pb (in star) H. Comments: bisque head by Schoneau and Hoffmeister, on "tumbling acrobat" doll by Zinner and Sohne, circa 1890. Value Points: the doll is attached to original wooden hoop, and when suspended she is able to tumble about in acrobatic fashion.
