12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes which operate from wire lever at the back of her head, dark eyeliner, mauve-blushed eye shadow, painted lashes, brush-stroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, brunette mohair wig over Steiner pate, Steiner composition fully jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sie G 2/0 (incised on head) J. Steiner Bte SGDG Bourgoin (red ink on head) (Steiner body stamp, and eyes impressed J. Steiner). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1885. Value Points: very rare model, with original wig, pate, eyes, body, and body finish, and beautiful antique costume.
