17" (43 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with up-tilted facial pose, elongated throat, blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lower lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, pink kid poupee body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Lutin. Comments: Lanternier, circa 1914, an unusual model created during the movement for the Renaissance of the French doll. Value Points: dear piquant expression enhanced by slender elongated throat, with throat hollow, and up-tilted face.
