All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted features, oil-painted shaded brown hair in soft short curls onto the forehead, stitched-on ears, large painted brown eyes with thickly painted black lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with shaded lips, stitch-jointed body with oil-painted arms and legs, painted thigh-high blue stockings with black detailing, antique cotton dress and undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Mrs. S.S. Smith, Manufacturer Roanoke, Ala. No 0. Patented September 26, 1905 (body stamp). Comments: Ella Smith's Alabama Baby, circa 1910.
