16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head with flat-cut neck socket which allows the head to pivot side to side (rather than 365 degree pivot) and attaches with metal pin at her crown, very pale bisque with softly-blushed cheeks, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth with pale accented lips, un-pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, softly-stuffed kid body with kid-over-wooden upper arms, bisque forearms with sculpted fingers, wooden knee joints, pull-ribbons in torso which allow the doll to hold a seating pose. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Mme Rohmer Brevete SGDG Paris (oval stamp on torso). Comments: Leontine Rohmer, the poupee bears her 1857 and 1858 deposes for head articulation and seating, circa 1858. Value Points: beautiful poupee with maker's signatures, rare depose systems, splendid bisque and brilliant eyes, bisque hands, and lovely antique costume, fancy signed boots, silk ribbon woven basket and kidskin gloves.
