18" (46 cm.) All-hard plastic, blue sleep eyes, lashes, closed mouth, light brown hair arranged in original curly coiffure, unusual ball-jointed walking style body with jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Madame Alexander (doll and costume). Comments: wearing original blue taffeta dress with lace edging, blue sash and floral cluster, undergarments, socks, purple velvet bonnet with flowers, purple suede-like shoes and carrying hat box with fashion award emblem, the doll was presented in the 1954 Alexander catalog as "Sweet Violet". Value Points: rare model in very fine original condition with beautiful face blush, crisp and vibrant costume colors.
