20" (51 cm.) All-composition with slender oval face, tanned complexion with blushed cheeks, painted blue eyes with shaded detail, dark eye shadow, closed mouth with ruby lips, rooted brunette human hair, five-piece composition slender body. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Monica Doll Studios, Hollywood, the dolls were made from 1941-1952 only in very limited production and are the only composition dolls made with rooted hair. Value Points: rare size of the Monica doll, with beautifully-preserved painting and thick lustrous hair, original lace dress and satin gown, flowers in hair, and with original paper wrist tag.
