Description
36" (91 cm.) largest. Each has with mask-pressed cloth face, painted facial features, floss wig in highly-stylized manner, and cloth body with very elongated torso and limbs, composition lower arms and legs, sculpted high heel shoes. The larger with painted blue eyes and elongated real lashes, is wearing original blue velvet and satin gown with lace trim; and the other with painted brown eyes and dramatically painted eye decorations has white puffs of hair under a fitted orange satin cap which matches her dress. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Poupees Gerb's Paris (orange dress). Comments: French, circa 1920s, the blue dressed model by Gege, the orange dressed model by Poupees Gerb's. Value Points: vibrant fresh condition of the highly stylized boudoir dolls of the flapper era, and including an additional mask face and wig by Gege.
