14" (36 cm.) Each has pressed bisque socket head, very pale complexion, very wide eye sockets with brown glass enamel inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve-blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth, shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, (frail silk costume in the French style included with each). Condition: brunette bebe is excellent, blonde bebe has old hairline from crown rim to just above the right brow and worn toes, original body and body finish on each (flake on upper arm of brunette). Marks: 2/0 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1878, early period luxury bebes by that firm. Value Points: outstanding beauty of the twin dolls, with most delicate blushing on the very pale complexioned bebes.
