Description
26" (66 cm.) x 21" framed. An oil painting depicts two small children, the larger seated with crossed ankles, and the smaller standing, table with vase of flowers at their side, a window with scene at the top corner, and a bonnet tossed onto the floor. The girls have short curly tendrils, one with brown eyes, and the larger girl with blue eyes, and with well-detailed ruffles on pantallets, a coral necklace, and holding a wooden doll with bonnet and gown. Excellent condition, restretched. Unsigned. The painting is presented in original birdseye maple wooden frame. Early 1800s.
