Posed as though walking with stooped back in a labored manner, the doll has carved wooden head with gofun finish, glass eyes, painted features, wizened age lines, white silk floss hair, paper mache hands and feet wearing simple cotton costume, sandals and carries a wooden bucket strapped on her back, posed on original wooden base. Generally excellent. Taisho era, early 1900s.
