Description
8" (20 cm.) doll. 16" x 13" box. The bisque doll with socket head, brown glass eyes, painted lashes and brows, open mouth, four tiny teeth, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden fully-jointed body, wearing blue cotton dress with lace collar and undergarments, is presented in original glass-fronted presentation box with lace edging that is fitted with an extensive array of original costume elements, each still tied with original blue silk bows. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 1078 S&H Germany dep. Comments: for the French market, the luxury presentation boxes were offered by luxury toy shops such as Au Nain Bleu, circa 1895. Value Points: the petite doll is all-original and lavishly presented.
