14" (36 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, light blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with square-cut collarette, gusset jointing at hips and knees, bisque arms from below the elbows, bisque hands with individually sculpted fingers, fine antique costume, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent, body very sturdy. Marks: D. Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1872, the very distinctive model was deposed in Paris in that year. Value Points: very choice bisque, expression, and painting of features, sturdy original rare body and hands, lovely costume.
